1) Why are these placemats High Quality , whats the difference ?

A : the placemats consist of a steel wire structure and then its dressed with a finely selected iraca palm weave by our Artisans , the wires come in different gauges ( thickness) , the comercial placemats normally use a Thin wire making the placemat very light and soft and cheaper to produce .
Best of Colombia Artisans use the thickest wire guage and the palm is finely selected from any taints or green/dark spots , making our mats more durable , heavier and more Elegant .

2) how long does it take to make 1 placemat ?

A : a Natural Placemat takes around 20 hours and with colors around 34 hours
