Gen Z is a generation born between 1997 and 2021. According to Pew Research Center, members of Gen Z are more racially and ethnically diverse than any previous generation, and they are on track to be the most well-educated generation yet. They are also digital natives who have little or no memory of the world as it existed before smartphones1.
As for the term “Nomadic Generation”, it is not an official term used by any organization or institution. However, it is true that many young adults are finding it increasingly challenging to settle down and establish a traditional, rooted lifestyle due to high living costs, never-ending student loans, and an unstable job market. As a result, some members of Gen Z are gravitating towards a nomadic lifestyle, embracing constant movement, flexibility, and exploration.
As for Gen Z habits and preferences, they are fully used to living in the digital world dominated by social networks, mobile apps and all sorts of other tech gizmos. And such a high degree of connectivity has a major impact on their habits, preferences and overall worldview. They value diversity and finding their own unique identities.
